Brick pavers and hardscape.
Power Washing and Sealing
Florida is hard on an outdoor surface. Sun fades it, rain washes the joints out, and the humidity brings organic growth. Cleaning and sealing is the maintenance that keeps that from turning into a rebuild.
Cleaning
Washing lifts the organic growth and the ground-in dirt that dulls the color. It also shows you what is actually going on with the joints, which a dirty surface hides.
Re-sanding the joints
Joints wash out over time. Polymeric sand goes back in and sets, which locks the field together, keeps water from cutting down into the base, and shuts down the gaps where weeds and ants get started.
Sealing
A sealer slows UV fading, makes spills easier to lift, and deepens the color. On concrete pavers it is worth repeating periodically. It is maintenance, not a permanent coating, and we will say so rather than sell it as one.
What the job includes
- Wash and organic growth removal
- Joints re-sanded with polymeric sand
- Sealer applied to clean, dry pavers
- Colour deepened, UV fading slowed
- Weeds and ants shut out of the joints
Exactly what is and is not included goes in writing on your estimate.
How it goes
You will know what is happening at each stage
Three stages, and we tell you which one you are in.
On-site estimate
We come to you, measure, look at what is there now, and find out where the water goes. You get a written estimate that lists the material, the work, and what is not included.
Installation
Removal and haul-off, excavation to stable ground, a compacted base, then the bedding layer and the paver. Edge restraint on the open edges, polymeric sand in the joints, and the site cleaned down at the end.
Sealing and care
Cleaning, re-sanding the joints, and sealing when the surface is ready for it. This is the part that decides whether you are maintaining a deck in a few years or rebuilding one.
